Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Limited in practice again
Thompson-Robinson (concussion) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Thompson-Robinson didn't take a notable step forward in his recovery from a concussion while maintaining limited practice activity for the second day in a row, but his continued presence on the field is at least an encouraging sign. Even so, Thompson-Robinson doesn't look to be trending toward the starting assignment Week 14 against the Jaguars, as Joe Flacco once again worked with the first-team offense Thursday and may be in line for a second consecutive start, per Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. If Flacco draws the start this weekend, Thompson-Robinson wouldn't be a lock to serve as the No. 2 quarterback, as he still needs to clear the five-step concussion protocol in order to be available. In addition to practicing in full capacity Friday, Thompson-Robinson would also need to attain clearance from an independent neurologist before being removed from the protocol.

Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Continues to practice
Thompson-Robinson (concussion) was present for practice Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Meanwhile, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer notes that earlier Thursday offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said he believes Thompson-Robinson is still in the NFL's concussion protocol and has one more box to check in order to gain clearance ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Per Petrak, Van Pelt indicated that the Browns have yet to make a decision on the team's Week 14 starter at QB, but Cabot believes that Joe Flacco is trending toward toward facing Jacksonville this weekend.

Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Limited in return to practice
Thompson-Robinson (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Petrak relays that Joe Flacco took the first-team reps, while Thompson-Robinson worked with the second-team offense in his return to practice. Head coach Kevin Stefanski wasn't ready to name a starting quarterback Wednesday, saying he wanted to see things play out in practice this week before deciding on a starter for Sunday's game against Jacksonville. The early signs point to Flacco getting the nod, especially after his competent showing while directing the offense in this past Sunday's loss to the Rams. Additionally, Thompson-Robinson has yet to officially clear the five-step concussion protocol, and until he does, he won't be a candidate to start Week 14.

Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Returns to practice, may not start
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Thompson-Robinson (concussion) will return to practice Wednesday, but a decision has yet to be made on a Week 14 starting quarterback, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Thompson-Robinson remains in the concussion protocol, but his ability to practice in some capacity Wednesday represents progress on some level after the rookie quarterback sat out last week's loss to the Rams. While veteran Joe Flacco didn't exactly light up the Rams while starting in Thompson-Robinson's absence, his 254 passing yards and two touchdowns (albeit on 44 attempts) surpasses what the Browns have seen from Thompson-Robinson in any of his three starts this season. The rookie signal-caller may thus find himself in a backup role to Flacco if he clears the protocol before Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars.

Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Remains in concussion protocol
Coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Thompson-Robinson remains in the concussion protocol, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Thompson-Robinson missed Week 13 while in the concussion protocol, and he will need to gain full clearance before returning to the lineup. As such, his status is still in question for Cleveland's matchup against Jacksonville in Week 14. If Thompson-Robinson can't return to full health before the Browns take on the Jaguars, Joe Flacco will likely draw another start, with PJ Walker also being an option.
