Saints' Marcus Maye: Sent to injured reserve
The Saints placed Maye (shoulder) on injured reserve Wednesday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
The veteran safety missed last week's game with the injury and will now be sidelined at least four additional contests. Maye also previously missed four games earlier in the season with a hamstring injury and due to a three-game suspension. Jordan Howden stepped in for Maye as a starting safety next to Tyrann Mathieu in this past Sunday's loss to the Lions.

Maye had three solo tackles and an interception in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Bears.
Maye picked off Tyson Bagent early in the fourth quarter on a pass intended for Darnell Mooney, putting the Saints in Bears territory. Maye was active for Week 8 against the Colts but didn't play while dealing with an illness and hamstring injury. He played every single defensive snap Sunday and is now up to 23 tackles (16 solo) and two interceptions in five games this season.
