Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Logs full practice Thursday
Taylor (ribs) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's estimated injury report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
The Giants designated Taylor for return from injured reserve Monday, but even with a Week 13 bye in the rearview mirror, the team didn't hold practice Thursday. Still, he wouldn't have had any restrictions if it had done so, meaning he seems poised to serve as Tommy DeVito's backup Monday against the Packers, assuming Taylor is activated ahead of that contest. If not, though, Taylor would yield the No. 2 job to practice-squad member Matt Barkley.

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Not starting in Week 14
Taylor (ribs) won't start in Week 14 against the Packers after coach Brian Daboll named Tommy DeVito the Giants' starting QB on Tuesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Taylor has been designated to return from IR after missing the minimum four games, and he told Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic on Tuesday that four broken ribs were the reason for his stay on the list. Assuming he's activated ahead of Monday's game, Taylor will serve as the backup to DeVito.

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Designated for return
The Giants announced Monday that Taylor (ribs) has been designated to return from IR.
Taylor enters the mix to potentially start versus the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. Undrafted rookie Tommy Devito is riding a two-game winning streak however, so a quarterback change may be unlikely for New York. Taylor did perform adequately when healthy earlier this season, so it wouldn't be out of the question for him to get another crack at the starting job this season. The veteran QB hasn't played since Week 8 due to an injury to his rib cage.

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Returning to practice this week
The Giants are expected to designate Taylor (ribs) for a return from IR and open his practice window this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Taylor's 21-day practice window will open as soon as he's officially designated to return from IR, meaning he could be an option to start versus the Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Week 14. Undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito has led New York to a two-game win streak, however, so Taylor could end up working in a backup capacity once back in the lineup.
