Siegenthaler logged an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Kraken. Siegenthaler has a helper in each of the last two games. He had three assists in the season opener, but he's only been able to match that over the next 23 contests as a more defensive presence in a top-four role. The Swiss blueliner has added 26 shots on net, 28 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. Siegenthaler should continue to see big minutes, but he's unlikely to reach lofty point totals.... Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Chips in with helper
Siegenthaler posted an assist, four hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Canucks. Siegenthaler's 26:55 of ice time Tuesday was more than four minutes higher than any other game this season. The 26-year-old rarely chips in much offense, but his defensive presence will be needed with Dougie Hamilton (pectoral) out of the lineup. Siegenthaler has five assists, 26 shots on net, 27 hits, 40 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 23 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Offense remains limited
Siegenthaler notched one shot, three blocked shots and one hit in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers. Siegenthaler has four assists through 21 games this season, and three of those came Opening Night. He's been a solid defensive presence, though, with a plus-1 rating and a consistent role on the penalty kill. Siegenthaler has a bigger impact for the Devils on the ice than he does in most fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Point drought hits eight games
Siegenthaler had two shots on goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Wild. Siegenthaler started the season in style with three assists against Detroit on Opening Night, but he hasn't found the scoresheet in eight subsequent games, and Thursday's two shots tied his season high. If you picked him up hoping the early burst of offense was sustainable, it's probably time to part ways with the Swiss defenseman, whose career high in points is 21.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Three assists in win
Siegenthaler recorded three assists in Thursday's 4-3 win over Detroit. It's quite a start to the year for Siegenthaler, who had just one three-point game last season. The 26-year-old blueliner tallied four goals with 17 assists in 80 games last year. While he's not expected to provide this sort of offensive production on a consistent basis, Siegenthaler could offer some upside while skating alongside Dougie Hamilton on New Jersey's top pairing.... Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Grabs two points in Game 4
Siegenthaler tallied a goal and added an assist in Monday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. Siegenthaler set up Jack Hughes' breakaway goal early in the first period before scoring the eventual game-winning goal in the third, beating Igor Shesterkin with a wrister. Siegenthaler returned to a top-pairing role alongside Dougie Hamilton after serving as a healthy scratch in Game 2. Siegenthaler now has his first two points in the playoffs after tallying four goals and 17 assists in 80 regular-season contests.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Finds back of net
Siegenthaler scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Sabres. Siegenthaler extended New Jersey's lead to 2-0 early in the second period, ripping a slapshot off a rush that got by Devon Levi. It's Siegenthaler's first tally since Feb. 25, a stretch of 20 games, and just his third point in that span. The 25-year-old blueliner still has a career-high four goals and 27 points while sporting a plus-27 rating through 79 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Goal drought hits 18
Siegenthaler had two shots, one blocked shot, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Jets. Siegenthaler's goal drought grew to 18 games, and he has supplied just two assists over that span. He also has a minus-2 rating during the drought, which has dropped Siegenthaler to a still-impressive plus-25 on the season.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Three-point game earns top star
Siegenthaler scored a goal and added two assists in a 7-0 win over the Flyers on Saturday. His goal stood as the winner. Early in the second, Miles Wood won the puck behind the Flyers' net and he made a one-handed push pass up the boards to Siegenthaler, who scored on a slapper from the left point. It was Siegenthaler's second NHL three-point game, and he was named the game's first star for his effort. He now has three goals and 15 assists in 58 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Stuck on one goal
Siegenthaler had a minus-2 rating and one hit in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Blues. Despite the off night, Siegenthaler's plus-minus still sits at an impressive plus-19. He doesn't offer much in other categories, though, with only one goal and 12 assists through 39 games.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Records assist against Rangers
Siegenthaler registered an assist in Monday's 4-3 loss to New York. Siegenthaler is riding a three-game point streak during which he has notched four assists. The Swiss-born blueliner needs just three more points to match the career high he set last season. Still, fantasy players shouldn't be expecting a lot of scoring out of Siegenthaler considering he has just four career NHL goals over five seasons.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Secures first tally
Siegenthaler scored a power-play goal during a 7-1 victory over the Blue Jackets on Sunday. Siegenthaler, who generated only seven shots during his opening eight appearances, connected on his first career power-play goal Sunday. The 25-year-old defenseman was paired with Dougie Hamilton and added a season-high three shots. Siegenthaler has compiled just four goals in 184 career games.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Two helpers through four games
Siegenthaler had two blocked shots, two hits and a plus-1 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Islanders. After signing a five-year extension with the Devils in the offseason, Siegenthaler has gotten off to a productive start, notching two assists through four games. He set a new career high with 14 points last season, and while Siegenthaler's capable of challenging that mark in 2022-23, he's unlikely to provide enough offense to draw attention in most fantasy formats.... Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Done for season
Siegenthaler will miss the rest of the season with a broken hand. Siegenthaler will finish the season having picked up 14 points, 98 hits and 106 blocks while averaging 20:34 of ice time through 70 contests. At this point there's no reason to believe he won't be back to full health in time for next campaign's training camp.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Won't travel with team
Siegenthaler (undisclosed) won't be with the Devils for their upcoming five-game road trip, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Ryan Graves will likely be tasked with taking on a larger role during Siegenthaler's extended absence. It wouldn't be surprising to see Siegenthaler, who's picked up 14 points through 70 contests this season, land on injured reserve in the coming days.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Exits Thursday's contest
Siegenthaler (undisclosed) did not finish Thursday's game versus the Canadiens, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Siegenthaler logged only 12:45 of ice time, but it's unclear what injury kept him from completing the contest. Head coach Lindy Ruff indicated the Devils won't know the defenseman's status until Friday at the earliest. Colton White would likely draw in if Siegenthaler is forced to miss time. The Devils open a road trip Saturday in Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Set to return Wednesday
Siegenthaler (illness) took line rushes during warmups Wednesday and is expected to play versus the Flames, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Siegenthaler missed Tuesday's game versus the Canucks, but he's apparently recovered enough to draw back in after a single missed contest. He's expected to play alongside Damon Severson in a top-four role Wednesday, while Colton White will exit the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Won't play Tuesday
Siegenthaler (illness) is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Canucks. Siegenthaler will miss his first game of the season Tuesday, and Colton White is expected to enter the lineup. The 24-year-old Siegenthaler will be questionable going into Wednesday's game versus the Flames.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Three-point effort in loss
Siegenthaler scored his first goal of the season and added two assists in Friday's 8-5 loss to Chicago. As if that wasn't enough, the 24-year-old blueliner also chipped in four shots, three blocked shots, one hit and a plus-2 rating. Siegenthaler hadn't had a multi-point performance since Nov. 20, so don't expect him to repeat this kind of offensive production any time soon.... See More ... See Less -
