On February 13, 2025, a tragic accident in May Pen, Clarendon, resulted in the death of 34-year-old Fabian Morris, a local labourer from Bucknor district. Morris was injured in a collision involving two vehicles, a 2016 Mazda Atenza and a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer, which occurred at approximately 9:30 PM at the intersection of Central Avenue and Doctor Bell Drive.
According to police, the Mazda was traveling west on Central Avenue when the Mitsubishi entered the intersection from Doctor Bell Drive and was struck by the Mazda. The impact propelled the Mitsubishi into a nearby concrete wall, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The drivers of both cars sustained injuries, while Morris, who was a passenger in the Mitsubishi, suffered severe injuries to the left side of his body.
Emergency services transported the injured individuals to May Pen Hospital; however, despite receiving treatment, Fabian Morris succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight at 12:01 AM.
