In Santo Domingo Este, the wanted individuals primarily face homicide charges, including Jhony Joseph, Elviyn Miguel González Montero, and Pedro Jorge Brito Feliz. In Santiago, notable fugitives include Edward De Jesús Pérez Silverio and Wilkyns José Vásquez Cruz, all sought for homicide or related crimes.
The deceased Yuneldy Manuel Mercado Díaz, known as “La Cobra,” was killed after confronting police during an attempted arrest for the murder of José de Jesús Ceballos Reyes. Mercado, who faced multiple charges, was shot after opening fire on law enforcement officers carrying out a raid at his home.
During the confrontation, police recovered a .38 caliber revolver with two spent cartridges and four unfired rounds, corroborating the violent exchange. His body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for examination and legal procedures.
