The Advertising Association of Ghana announces the Gong Gong Festival of Creativity & Awards’ return, set for April 28 to May 3, 2024. The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) has officially announced the return of the Gong Gong Awards, which will now be celebrated as the Gong Gong Festival of Creativity & Awards. This reimagined event showcases excellence in advertising, branding, and creative communications after a hiatus of two years.

Set to occur from April 28 to May 3, 2024, the festival features a week-long series of events, culminating in the 17th Gong Gong Awards Night on May 3. This year’s theme is “Disrupt & Inspire: Recognizing Brands and Agencies that Challenge Norms and Redefine Creativity,” focusing on outstanding creativity within Ghana’s advertising sector.

President Andrew Ackah highlights a dynamic schedule lined up for the festival, including a Brand and Creativity Exhibition at the Accra Mall. Attendees will interact with top-notch advertising and branding innovations, engaging further in the industry through panel discussions, masterclasses, and networking opportunities geared toward fostering collaboration and innovation.

The Gong Gong Awards have been integral to Ghana’s advertising landscape for nearly three decades, now expanding to 17 award categories. These categories will recognize both creative agencies and firms behind exceptional brands, with at least three awards available for each category to honor impactful campaigns spanning 2023 and 2024.

This re-envisioned Gong Gong Festival is not merely an awards ceremony; it serves as a catalyst for inspiring future creatives and challenging traditional practices in advertising.
