Investigators revealed that following Scott’s vanishing, several withdrawals were authorized from his account in various locations, including Nairobi, Voi, and Mombasa. Security footage indicates he was last seen with a mystery man who took him to a notorious area in Nairobi known as Pipeline. Subsequently, the suspects’ residence was found abandoned.

During court proceedings, prosecutors expressed concerns about the handling and disposal of Scott’s body by the prime suspect, Alex Mutua, while he was relocating. Local magistrate Lucas Onyina allowed the continued detention of the suspects due to the serious nature of the crime and the risk of jeopardizing the investigation.
