On March 5, the 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion, collaborating with the 12th Chinese medical team, performed a free medical outreach in a village near Juba, South Sudan. They provided a range of medical consultations including internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, and otorhinolaryngology, alongside routine physical exams and disease diagnostics.
The outreach educated villagers about preventing prevalent diseases such as malaria, cholera, and monkeypox. The staff executed on-site medical services, offering blood pressure and blood sugar checks, malaria parasite tests, wound care, and treatment for common ailments. In total, 423 patients received treatment, and 1,097 medical supplies were distributed to the community, drawing acclaim from locals.
