Kingston West police are seeking a man named Mark Anthony Roberts, also known as “Markie,” in connection with the shooting of a woman believed to be the mother of his child. This incident occurred at Buckas Scheme on Third Street, Trench Town, Kingston 12, on Wednesday. Authorities have requested that Roberts report to the Denham Town Police Station by 6:00 pm on Thursday.

The 36-year-old victim, a vendor, suffered injuries during a confrontation with Roberts. The showdown escalated around 7:40 pm, during which Roberts allegedly drew a firearm and shot the woman in her left hand and chest. The woman managed to flee but collapsed after being chased. She was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigations reveal Roberts has a child with the victim and that their argument stemmed from her relationship with another man. Furthermore, it has been determined that Roberts is affiliated with the Buchas Gang, known to operate in that region. Police personnel are intensively monitoring the locale, as they fear retaliation may occur following this incident.
