The construction of the 125MW Owendo gas-to-power plant in Gabon is set to begin in June, with a defined schedule and commissioning date established. The plant is being developed in partnership between the Gabon Power Company and Wärtsilä, utilizing a BOOT IPP model.

The civil engineering work for Gabon’s 125MW Owendo gas-to-power (GTP) plant is scheduled to commence in June. The project stakeholders have finalized a timeline that includes a target commissioning date for the facility. This plant is being co-developed by the Gabon Power Company and Finland-based Wärtsilä, following a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) independent power producer (IPP) model.
