This information was revealed in a statement to revenue officials. Rao detailed her international travel, mentioning trips to the Middle East, Dubai, and several Western countries, having made 27 trips to Dubai last year.

In her statement, Ranya disclosed her family background, identifying her father as KS Hegdesh, a real estate businessman, and her husband as Jatin Hukkeri, an architect residing in Bengaluru. Additionally, her stepfather, Ramachandra Rao, is the Director-General of Police for the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation.

Ranya Rao, who debuted in the 2014 film Maanikya, has stated her willingness to assist investigators while being held in judicial custody until her next hearing. She emphasized that her confession was made voluntarily, asserting that she had not been coerced and declined food due to lack of hunger.

The actor was apprehended with 14 kg of gold bars valued at Rs 14.56 crore at Kempegowda International Airport, marking one of the largest gold seizures in recent times. Her stepfather expressed disbelief at the events, stating he was “shocked and devastated” by her arrest.
