Kalicharan Mas has secured the 31st large band of the year title at the San Fernando Carnival. Results were announced on March 7, at the respective city halls for Downtown and San Fernando.

In the Uptown competition, The Lost Tribe achieved the title of large band of the year with their production “Lost in Time,” amassing a total of 260 points. Trinidad All Stars followed in second place with 219 points for their portrayal “Sailors Ashore in Brazil.”

In the medium-band category, K2k Alliance claimed first place with their theme “Holy Trespasses,” while Ombre Mas and Image Nation finished second and third respectively. For small bands, Vibez Rhythm Band took the top position, with Exodus Sailore and Antourage Productions in the second and third spots.

Kalicharan Mas’s championship at the San Fernando Carnival highlights the continued tradition and competitiveness of Carnival bands in Trinidad and Tobago.
