The Niger State Police Command has arrested eleven individuals on charges of thuggery and disrupting public peace in Suleja LGA. According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, this incident took place in the Chaichainiya area along the Kaduna road on March 6, 2025, around 11:00 PM. Reports indicated that conflicts arose among local youths and secondary school students, which were allegedly instigated by personal relationship disputes.

Eyewitness accounts described hearing multiple gunshots during the scuffle, resulting in injuries to two boys, ages 10 and 11, named Nura and Imrana, who were shot in the lap. Following the disturbances, a covert police operation led to the arrest of eleven suspects, including Umar Idris, the identified instigator of the altercation, who is now under investigation.

Preliminary inquiries have indicated that the shooting incident, which caused the injuries, involved personnel from a related security agency, highlighting the complexities surrounding the disturbance.
