President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has traveled to Saudi Arabia for discussions with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. This visit follows confirmation from Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, through his Telegram channel. Zheleznyak noted, “That’s it, the presidential plane flew from Poland to Saudi Arabia.”
During his visit, Zelensky will engage in discussions with a Saudi representative and subsequently hold bilateral talks with the United States in Riyadh. The Ukrainian delegation will consist of key officials including Andriy Ermak, Head of the Office of the President; Andriy Sibiga, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense; and Pavlo Palisa, Commander of the 93rd Brigade of the Armed Forces.
US President Donald Trump has also expressed optimism regarding the outcomes of these discussions, stating, “I think we will have a good result in Saudi Arabia” while on board his aircraft. This underscores the importance of the talks for both U.S.-Ukraine relations and broader international cooperation.
