Gunmen Murder Gigi Danbaka in Niger; Family Ordered to Collect Corpse

In Niger, the police have initiated an investigation concerning the murder of Gigi Danbaka, who was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Rafi Local Government Area. Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday when Danbaka and his family went mango-picking along the Gabi-Alawa Road in Ringa District.
As the family returned home, they encountered armed men who kidnapped Danbaka but later released his family with a grim directive to come back for his body. Following the alarming report, security forces and local vigilantes commenced a search operation at approximately 8:20 p.m. on the same day.
Tragically, by 11:00 a.m. the following day, Danbaka’s corpse was recovered at the site. The police have committed to a thorough investigation aimed at identifying and apprehending the individuals responsible for this crime, assuring the community of their efforts for justice.
