Disturbed’s recent concert damaged six Chicago Bulls championship banners due to pyrotechnics. The United Center is working on repairs, but the banners will not be restored this season. Meanwhile, Disturbed plans a European tour to celebrate their debut album and frontman David Draiman seeks a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar.

A recent concert by Disturbed at the United Center resulted in minor damage to six of the Chicago Bulls’ championship banners that commemorate their NBA titles earned during Michael Jordan’s tenure in the 1990s. The damage occurred on March 8, while Disturbed was performing alongside Three Days Grace and Sevendust, and attendees shared videos showing flames near the banners on social media.

The United Center has confirmed they are collaborating with the Chicago Bulls to explore repair options for the damaged banners, stating, “While the banners will not be in place for the remainder of this season, we do anticipate them being back in place next season.” However, the banners commemorating the Bulls’ titles from 1991-93 and 1996-98 will be absent for the remaining 2024-25 season.

Disturbed has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident but recently announced plans for a new European tour in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their debut album. The tour will feature support from Megadeth, with Disturbed performing two full sets, one being their complete ‘Sickness’ album and another with their greatest hits.

Furthermore, frontman David Draiman expressed interest in collaborating with Kendrick Lamar, mentioning they have written a song needing a strong rapper and deeming Lamar a fitting choice. Draiman is also set to participate in Black Sabbath’s final live show in Birmingham this summer, alongside bands such as Metallica and Slayer.

The pyrotechnic display at Disturbed’s concert led to minor damage of the Chicago Bulls’ championship banners, with restoration efforts planned for next season. The band is focused on an upcoming tour, celebrating the anniversary of their debut album, while also exploring potential musical collaborations. Draiman’s participation in significant live events further illustrates the band’s ongoing influence in the music scene.
