Alex Marquez of Gresini Ducati secured second place in both races, while Ducati’s Franco Morbidelli achieved his first podium finish in over 1,400 days, coming in third.
Marc expressed his joy after equaling Angel Nieto’s record for the third-most Grand Prix wins, stating, “Happy to equal Angel Nieto … he was and is super important for the Spanish motorcycle world, and also in the world championship.” Despite initial struggles with race confidence, he noted, “It’s difficult to attack your brother … I’m super impressed with the level of Alex these two races.”
As the Marquez brothers led the race, Alex managed to fend off a late challenge from Marc until the final laps when Marc ultimately overtook him decisively at turn five.
