Having qualified 5th, Acosta demonstrated promising speed on his KTM RC16, finishing an exhilarating 12-lap race under challenging conditions.

In the same Sprint, Brad Binder faced an unfortunate DNF after qualifying 11th due to an early lap incident. Enea Bastianini, who started from Q1 in 21st, managed to finish 14th, while Maverick Viñales, also from Q1 at 20th, crossed the line in 18th place.

The Termas de Rio Hondo circuit returned to the MotoGP calendar after a year off, presenting riders with slick and low-grip conditions during practice and qualifying sessions.
