Lamborghini has officially introduced its new supercar, the Temerario, in South Africa. Unveiled at a Johannesburg event, the Temerario is positioned as the successor to the Huracán and is set to retail at a substantial price of R7,525,000.

The Chief Technical Officer, Rouven Mohr, describes the Temerario as offering an “innovative and emotional driving experience” with its e-4WD system and real torque vectoring.

This model features a sophisticated hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine working in conjunction with three electric motors, producing an impressive total output of 677kW. Its acceleration is remarkable, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.

Lamborghini claims the Temerario provides precision on the track and a dynamic rear-wheel drive experience, tailored for maximum driver engagement. It is also the first Lamborghini to incorporate a V8 twin-turbo engine paired with electric motors and marks the brand’s second vehicle in the High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) line.

The car includes 13 driving modes that can be controlled using rotors on the steering wheel. These modes include Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus. Additionally, the “checkered flag” button engages Launch Control, allowing for quick acceleration bursts.
