Louisiana’s Early Voting for March 29 Election Now Open

Bonnette noted that a turnout of about 30% is expected, as approximately 83,000 voters reside in Rapides Parish. She mentioned that this particular election involves mainly amendments and a few candidate races, which typically results in lower voter engagement.

For voters in Rapides Parish needing to visit the Registrar of Voters Office, it has temporarily relocated to the first floor of the Kinetix building at 900 4th Street, Alexandria, due to ongoing renovations at the courthouse. Bonnette extended her apologies for any inconvenience this might cause, estimating the move to last between eight to twelve months.
