Tzu Xing Foundation Enhances Education in Saint Vincent with New Donations

On February 27, 2025, the Tzu Xing Foundation, a charitable organization from Taiwan, held multiple ceremonies alongside the Ministry of Education of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Under the leadership of Liza Lin, the foundation donated nearly USD 110,000 worth of educational equipment. The events included the completion of a culinary vocational classroom at West St. George Secondary School, assistive devices for visually impaired students at Fair Hall Governmental School, and an inauguration of a science laboratory at Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.
The ceremonies were co-hosted by Hon. Curtis King, Minister of Education, and H.E. Fiona Huei-Chun Fan, the Ambassador of R.O.C. (Taiwan) to SVG. The events saw participation from senior educational officials, school principals, and hundreds of teachers and students from the respective schools. Notably, Hon. Keisal Peters and Hon. Carlos James, ministers of Social Development and Tourism, also joined the ceremonies at their designated schools.
Ambassador Fan recognized the TX Foundation’s contributions to education, noting their role in strengthening ties between Taiwan and SVG. She encouraged students to apply for Taiwanese government scholarships, promoting further educational opportunities in Taiwan. Minister King expressed gratitude for the foundation’s support, highlighting the significance of technical and vocational education training (TVET) in enhancing the educational landscape of SVG.
The Tzu Xing Foundation has a history of donating to schools and hospitals globally, including Asia and Africa. Their recent initiatives have expanded into the Caribbean, with projects aimed at enhancing educational facilities in Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, and the Bahamas.
