Qatar Cabinet Urges International Community to Address Gaza Crisis

During a recent Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the State of Qatar strongly condemned Israel’s renewed aggression in the Gaza Strip. Minister of Justice H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi emphasized that these actions challenge international peace efforts, particularly the ceasefire agreement, warning that such escalation could further destabilize the region.
The Cabinet highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging the international community to take immediate action to protect the Palestinian people. They called for a revival of dialogue to uphold the ceasefire agreement, ensure humanitarian aid access, and create conditions for reconstruction, referencing the Gaza Reconstruction Plan approved at the recent Arab Summit.
Additional agenda items addressed included the Shura Council’s approval of a draft law aimed at fostering innovation and scientific research in Qatar. This law seeks to instill a culture of creativity, promoting scientific advancements that align with societal needs and developmental goals.
The Cabinet also approved a draft law on Owners’ Associations for regulating real estate management and fostering collaboration among property owners to mitigate disputes. Furthermore, they sanctioned agreements between the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and international organizations, focusing on improving education and health initiatives in Cuba.
Concluding the session, the Cabinet reviewed three significant reports detailing operational outcomes at Hamad International Airport, Qatar’s delegation at the Global Labor Market Conference, and the country’s participation in the Integrated Industrial Partnership for sustainable economic growth. They made pertinent decisions on these matters.
