Car Theft Reported During Kenya vs Gabon Match Viewing

A man’s car was stolen while he watched a Kenya vs Gabon match, prompting a police investigation. A separate incident involving a Toyota Axio theft from a residential area is also under investigation by police in Juja.
On Monday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported a theft incident involving a man’s car while he watched a World Cup qualifier match between Kenya and Gabon. The victim parked his silver Toyota IST, registration KBN 093B, along Kisauni Road behind Nairobi West Hospital at approximately 3:40 PM, prior to going to the fan park to enjoy the match.
Upon returning shortly after 7 PM, the man discovered that his parking space was empty. He promptly reported the car theft at Akila Police Station in Lang’ata. Law enforcement officials have since initiated an investigation to locate the stolen vehicle.
In a separate incident, police in Juja are investigating the theft of a white Toyota Axio that was taken from a residential area in Matangi, near Rurii Primary School, Kimbo. The owner had left the car parked outside their home on Saturday night and discovered its absence upon waking up the following morning.
