Fuel Price Increases Set for March 25, 2025, Amid Global Market Pressures

On March 25, 2025, gasoline prices will rise by P1.10, while diesel and kerosene will increase by P0.40 per liter. Cleanfuel will also implement similar increases for its gasoline and diesel, excluding kerosene. This change follows three weeks of price rollbacks and is attributed to several external economic factors.
Motorists will face increased fuel costs this week as major companies announced price hikes for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. In separate announcements, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. will raise gasoline prices by P1.10 per liter, and increase diesel and kerosene by P0.40 each.
Cleanfuel will match these increases for gasoline and diesel but will not change kerosene prices due to its unavailability. The price adjustments take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, for all companies except Cleanfuel, which will implement the changes at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
As of now, other fuel firms have yet to announce their price changes for the week. The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) previously forecasted price increases due to rising tensions in the Middle East, increased fuel consumption stemming from fiscal stimulus measures in Beijing, and a reduction in US fuel inventories.
This week, fuel prices are set to rise, affecting gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Major companies like Chevron, Seaoil, and Shell have confirmed price hikes, responding to increased global supply chain pressures. Motorists should prepare for these adjustments, which take effect on March 25, 2025, amid forecasts of further increases driven by geopolitical and economic factors.
