His remains were found approximately 66 miles southeast of Nairobi on February 24, with his hands tied, indicating foul play. Alex Mutua Kithuka will appear before the High Court in Nairobi on Wednesday, having previously attended court alongside Albanus Mutinda, both accused of Scott’s murder.
On March 3, police were granted permission to detain Kithuka and Mutinda for 21 days. However, the director of public prosecutions has dropped the murder charge against Mutinda after he agreed to testify as a state witness. Scott was originally from Dunfermline, educated at Woodmill High School, and worked as a senior director at the credit scoring firm Fico.
