A tragic incident occurred in Wepener, Free State Province, South Africa, where a Bangladeshi youth named Kamrul Islam, aged 33, was shot dead on Thursday evening. Originally from Karmullahpur village in Bangladesh, Kamrul had moved to South Africa 12 years ago in search of work and had established his own business after initially being employed.

On the night of the incident, while closing his shop around 9:00 PM, Kamrul was confronted by two individuals who intended to rob him.
