The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia has issued a weather warning concerning moderate to heavy thunderstorms affecting various regions from Wednesday to Sunday. Areas like Makkah city, Jeddah, and surrounding governorates are expected to face significant rainfall, potentially leading to flash floods and hail, along with dust storms reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h.

In the Madinah region, which includes governorates such as Khaybar and Badr, severe weather conditions are forecasted with similar threats of heavy rain, flash floods, and dust storms. The Al-Baha region is also on alert for moderate to heavy rainfall along with high winds carrying dust.

Forecasters suggest that the Asir region will experience peak rainfall intensity on Friday and Saturday, accompanied by dust storms and possibly flash flooding. Meanwhile, the Jazan and Najran regions are bracing for comparable weather conditions, including heavy rains and strong dust storms.

In contrast, lighter weather is anticipated in areas such as Riyadh, Qassim, and the Eastern Province, where light to moderate rains with active winds causing dust and sand are expected from Wednesday through Sunday. Citizens are advised to monitor the situation closely as thunderstorms may disrupt daily activities and travel plans.
