In Riyadh, visibility was significantly reduced due to the gray haze caused by the storm, prompting safety warnings.
To ensure safety, authorities advised motorists to exercise caution while driving. An incident involving a BMW occurred when it overturned after colliding with a roadside fence near Takhassusi Street in Riyadh. The police responded promptly and provided assistance at the scene.
Due to the adverse weather conditions, the General Directorate of Civil Defense urged residents to avoid heading to the outskirts to minimize accident risks. One resident shared their experience, stating: “Friday being (the) weekend, we had an outing plan with family for a barbeque party… but the sandstorm… has forced us to change the plan, and we decided to remain indoors instead.”
