At a media briefing held on May 9, 2025, the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, DCOP Lydia Yaako Donkor, provided updates on the case, affirming the women had been received at Kotoka International Airport.
Donkor noted that both women appeared stable and would receive appropriate medical attention before participating in standard police interviews. I am pleased to confirm that earlier this morning, my team and I received the victims,” she said at the briefing.
