Shakira launched her highly-anticipated “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” in Brazil, marking the start of a tour with over 30 dates across various countries including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and North America. This event took place at Rio de Janeiro’s Estádio Nilton Santos on a recent Tuesday night, highlighting her return to the global stage in support of her latest album.

Prior to her performance, Shakira shared insights about her preparation on social media, revealing she had been in rehearsals for an entire year and often practiced for 14 hours each day. “Today is the day. At this moment I write these lines from my dressing room. The reflection in the mirror gives me the image of a woman who has left every last breath in each rehearsal, in each chord, in each step,” she expressed in her message.

The tour is produced by Live Nation and celebrates her Grammy-winning album, which shares the same name. This tour marks Shakira’s first since her “El Dorado” global tour that took place from 2017 to 2018.

Initially, Shakira revealed her tour dates for American audiences during a surprise appearance at Coachella with Bizarrap. However, those dates were later rescheduled to accommodate larger venues due to high demand from fans. The North American leg of the tour is set to begin on May 13 in Charlotte, with significant stops in Toronto, Boston, Miami, and Las Vegas.

Shakira will headline WorldPride DC in Washington, D.C., on May 26, and the North American portion of the tour will conclude in San Francisco on June 30. These events are anticipated highlights in her tour schedule, showcasing her return after several years.

Shakira’s ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’ marks a significant comeback with over 30 performances across multiple countries. Her rigorous preparations have culminated in this extensive tour, supporting a Grammy-winning album and featuring notable appearances, including WorldPride DC. This series of concerts reflects Shakira’s commitment to delivering an outstanding performance, reigniting her global presence after years away from the touring circuit.
