In a tragic incident, authorities identified the body of British businessman Campbell Scott, who had been missing in Kenya for over a week. His body was discovered by animal herders in Makongo forest, approximately 60 miles southeast of Nairobi, on February 22. Scott, aged 58, was a senior director at the credit scoring company Fico and had disappeared during a work trip, prompting widespread searches by police.

The deceased was found strangled and wrapped in a green sack, leading to the arrest of two individuals, including a taxi driver and a waiter, as reported by Capital News. Scott was last seen on February 16 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi while attending a conference. His colleagues reported his absence after he missed an important meeting.

Campbell Scott checked into the hotel on February 15 and reportedly left the following day. Investigators are piecing together his final movements, which included visits to various pubs and clubs. His employer expressed deep sorrow over his passing, noting Scott’s important contributions to the firm since joining in 2014.

A spokeswoman from Fico stated, “Campbell was a leader in our international Scores business… we will miss his humour and kindness.” Local authorities initially feared that he may have been kidnapped due to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
