Reese Witherspoon’s produced format, “Side Hustlers,” has achieved its first international adaptation, with ITV Studios securing a deal with South Africa’s Primedia for a local version. The adaptation’s broadcasting partner and production schedule are still pending. “Side Hustlers” aired for two seasons on Roku, showcasing businesswomen as they develop their passion projects into full-scale businesses while balancing their personal lives and careers, hosted by Emma Grede and Ashley Graham.
During the London TV Screenings event, ITV Studios also announced the sale of Channel 4’s “Double the Money” to Primedia, where participants attempt to double their initial funds through strategic challenges. Additionally, “My Mum Your Dad,” an ITV format similar to “Love Island,” will be adapted in Belgium, marking the show’s expansion into its 11th territory following international success in Brazil and Poland.
Ruth Berry, President of Global Partnerships at ITV Studios, expressed enthusiasm for expanding their diverse and entrepreneurial formats into new markets, stating these fresh concepts meet audience demand. ITV Studios is also promoting other programs, such as the phone hacking thriller “The Hack” and the environmental series “Extreme Planet Earth.”
