Businessman Campbell Scott, 58, was found dead in Kenya, leading authorities to suspect murder. His autopsy revealed injuries deemed insufficient to cause death, prompting further testing. Police have arrested two suspects linked to his last known movements. The investigation continues as the British Foreign Office supports his family.

A significant update has emerged regarding the death of 58-year-old businessman Campbell Scott, found dead in Makongo forest, located approximately 60 miles from Nairobi. His body was discovered with his hands and legs bound, which has led authorities to suspect foul play, potentially involving murder and torture before the body was disposed of.

Despite investigations indicating homicide, local medical officials are puzzled by the results of the autopsy; they suggest the injuries could be insufficient to result in death. Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor noted, “The injuries as per the pathologists looked too minor to cause death,” prompting further toxicology testing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his demise.

The autopsy process faced delays as officials awaited the arrival of Scott’s family from the UK, eventually being conducted at Makueni County Referral Hospital. Upon completion, Scott’s body was moved to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi, under police observation.

In the ongoing investigation, authorities arrested two individuals, a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter, related to Campbell’s last known movements. CCTV footage depicted him casually walking about wearing a blue Scotland rugby shirt shortly before his disappearance while with an unidentified man believed to be pivotal in the case.

The British Foreign Office is providing support to Scott’s family, remaining in communication with local law enforcement as the investigation develops.

The investigation into Campbell Scott’s death remains active, with police pursuing leads regarding his last contacts and the circumstances leading to his discovery in the forest. The inconclusive autopsy and the arrests of two suspects underline the complexities of the case. Authorities continue to seek out evidence to clarify the timeline and details of this tragic incident.
