Additionally, a 60-year-old man named Aniefiok Edem was arrested for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl, following a mother’s complaint. She alleged that Edem attacked her daughter while running an errand, forcibly engaging in sexual acts and later paying her N200.
The police also reported arrests related to cult activities and possession of illicit drugs. Commissioner Azare asserted the command’s commitment to combatting crime in the state and urged community cooperation to fight against illegal activities effectively.
