Police Arrest Suspect in KNUST Student’s Death Case

A suspect named Daniel Tuffour has been arrested by the Ghana Police in relation to the death of KNUST student Yabane Deladem Aku. The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in the case of the death of Yabane Deladem Aku, a 21-year-old Level 400 Biological Science student at KNUST. The suspect, identified as Daniel Tuffour, is currently in custody and aiding the investigation following detailed crime scene analyses.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Yabane was discovered unresponsive behind the Central Laboratory of the KNUST campus on February 27, 2025. Medical personnel from KNUST Hospital pronounced her dead after examining the body before transferring it to the morgue for further examinations.
