Since October, the country has experienced significant social unrest, including protests led by Venâncio Mondlane against the electoral results favoring Chapo and the ruling party, Frelimo.

These protests have decreased in size but continue to occur nationwide, fueled by frustrations over election results and growing economic challenges.
