Belarus Delivers Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Affected Kenya

Belarus has sent over 7 tonnes of humanitarian aid to flood victims in Kenya, including tents and clothing valued at more than Br500,000. This shipment follows significant flooding last spring and represents Belarus’s ongoing commitment to providing international aid during emergencies.
Belarus has dispatched humanitarian aid to assist residents in Kenya who were affected by severe flooding. This aid, totaling approximately 7 tonnes and valued at over Br500,000, was organized under the direction of the Belarusian head of state. The consignment includes essential items such as frame tents from the State Reserve of the Emergencies Ministry, along with clothing and footwear for both children and adults sourced from the Bellegprom light industry concern. The supplies are set to be transported by road to St. Petersburg before being shipped by sea to the port of Mombasa, Kenya.
The flooding in Kenya, which occurred last spring, has had devastating effects on the local population, prompting international responses for aid. In line with its past humanitarian efforts, Belarus has been proactive in providing support to nations facing emergencies. Since 1999, Belarus has delivered humanitarian assistance 86 times to 34 different countries, with notable contributions including deliveries to the Russian Federation and Zimbabwe in the previous year.
The humanitarian aid sent by Belarus to Kenya exemplifies the country’s commitment to international support during crises.
