Airtel Uganda and Spiro Launch Electric Motorcycle Financing Program

Airtel Uganda has launched an electric motorcycle loan market in partnership with Spiro Uganda and GnuGrid CRB. This initiative enables users of Airtel mobile money to obtain motorcycle loans via their mobile phones. The process is fully automated, simplifying ownership from down payment to transaction completion.

Airtel Uganda has collaborated with Spiro Uganda and GnuGrid CRB to introduce a financing program for electric motorcycles. This initiative aims to streamline the process, allowing Airtel mobile money users to apply for a motorcycle loan directly from their mobile devices. Gaurav Anand, Managing Director of Spiro Uganda, highlighted that the automation of the purchasing process encompasses everything from initial down payments to the completion of the transaction, enhancing ease of ownership for consumers.

The partnership between Airtel Uganda and Spiro Uganda marks a significant step in making electric motorbike ownership more accessible. By leveraging mobile technology, users can efficiently manage their loan applications, thereby promoting sustainable transportation solutions in Uganda.
