Houcine Youabed, head of the communication service at Morocco’s Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), noted that while rain is beneficial for agriculture and water reservoirs, it may arrive too late for some farming activities.

Youabed advised the public to exercise caution due to potential flooding and sudden torrents, underscoring the need to adhere to meteorological alerts especially in areas near riverbeds. The highest recorded rainfall was 82 millimeters in Tangier, followed by 66 millimeters in Rabat and 42 millimeters in Casablanca.
