Asante Kotoko has disclosed new information regarding the murder of their dedicated fan, Francis Frimpong, commonly referred to as Pooley. The primary suspect, Daniel Febiri, also known as Braima, has reportedly fled to Senegal with assistance from his girlfriend, Grace Siaw. Pooley was tragically killed during a violent incident involving fans at a Ghana Premier League match held on February 2, 2025, at Nana Konamansah Park.

In response to the incident, the Ghana Police Service initiated an extensive investigation aimed at seeking justice for Pooley’s family. This investigation led to several arrests, including that of Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, the owner of Nsoatreman. Asante Kotoko’s lawyer, Sarfo Duku, confirmed that the police had identified the person responsible for Pooley’s fatal stabbing, yet the suspect remained elusive at that time.

Recent updates reveal that Braima has successfully escaped to Senegal. Reports suggest he was concealed from law enforcement by his girlfriend between February 4 and February 17, 2025.
