Success, who was four months pregnant, was reportedly stabbed to death at their home on February 22, 2025, raising alarms about the rising domestic violence against women in the region.

The incident was confirmed by the Edo State Police Command, which detailed the events following the murder. A police spokesperson, Moses Yamu, reported that Kelvin Izekor was apprehended before being lynched by an angry mob. Police found Success’s body with severe injuries, and despite attempts to save her, she was declared dead at the hospital shortly after.
