Miata Metals Corp. has mobilized a drill crew to the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, preparing for a substantial diamond drilling program. Recent sampling has shown high levels of gold, including a notable 39.16 g/t Au at the Puma target. The exploration team is expanding operations with a newly constructed camp and dedicated sampling protocols to ensure accurate results.

Miata Metals Corp. (CSE: MMET), based in Vancouver, Canada, has announced the arrival of its drill crew at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname. As part of its 2025 exploration program, the company is prepared to commence a 10,000 m diamond core drilling initiative, with the first drill hole expected to begin shortly.

Recent sampling results at the Puma target revealed a significant grab sample with visible gold, yielding an impressive 39.16 g/t Au. Additional grab samples from an adjacent pit at the Puma site showed values of 2.32 g/t Au and 5.92 g/t Au. Furthermore, a new grab sample taken 1,000 m east of Puma, outside the predictive vein model, returned 7.03 g/t Au, indicating that the Puma gold trend now extends over 3.7 km.

The company collected 63 rock samples during this latest round of testing, which averaged 0.93 g/t Au, reinforcing the geological potential of the site. Drilling operations will target the Stranger and Golden Hand areas after initial evaluations at Puma. Dr. Jaap Verbaas, CEO of Miata, noted the significance of these findings to ongoing exploration strategies and the overall understanding of the site’s mineralization potential.

To support operations, the Major Drilling crew is finalizing site preparations, with drill pads at the Stranger and Golden Hand targets underway. The Miata camp has been expanded, including nearly completing a bunkhouse accommodating up to 35 personnel, alongside the installation of a water filtration system to utilize onsite water for drinking.

Quality assurance and quality control measures are being enforced, with samples analyzed at the FiLab in Paramaribo, known for its ISO certification and regular checks on analytical accuracy. Dr. Jacob Verbaas, P.Geo, has reviewed and approved the technical details provided in the release, aligning with National Instrument 43-101 standards for mineral project disclosures.

Miata Metals Corp. is making significant progress at the Sela Creek Gold Project, highlighted by the arrival of the drill crew and promising sampling results indicating high gold grades. The ongoing exploration, supported by quality control measures, suggests a strong potential for mineral discovery in previously underexplored areas. Upcoming drilling activities will further assess the viability of the identified targets.
